New listing of companies and products authorized to carry out operations between Ecuador and Nicaragua

(Caracas,1-11-2016).- As part of the results achieved in the framework of the Schedule of bilateral videoconferences between the States Parties to the SUCRE Regional Payment Compensation System of 2016, Ecuador and Nicaragua signed some agreements between Which include the inclusion of a new list of companies and products that are authorized to conduct intra-SUCRE commercial operations, in addition to the signing of a Partial Scope Agreement (AAP).

 

On May 24, 2016, a videoconference was held between the Central Banks and Foreign Trade Ministries of Ecuador and Nicaragua, at which they agreed to sign a Partial Scope Agreement that was signed in June of this year , Which allows, among other things, the granting of tariff preferences and the elimination of non-tariff restrictions, allowing them to strengthen and streamline their trade flows, in a manner compatible with their respective economic policies.

In addition, the Agreement provides that both countries shall ensure that sanitary and phytosanitary rules and regulations do not constitute unnecessary obstacles to reciprocal trade.

 

Finally, the AAP allows Parties to agree on the implementation and promotion of programs, projects and other cooperation initiatives, in accordance with the objectives and areas prioritized for both countries.

The results achieved between Ecuador and Nicaragua are part of the objectives set for the cycle of bilateral videoconferences between the States Parties of SUCRE, which are carried out in order to promote balance of trade balance through the promotion of relations between the Bodies of its member countries.
