More than 30 international entrepreneurs were advised on SUCRE at FIHAV 2016

(Caracas,5-11- 2016).- The Regional Monetary Council of SUCRE, in order to continue promoting the Unitary System of Regional Payments Compensation, participated as exhibitor at the 34th International Fair of Havana, which took place from October 31 to November 4 2016, in the Pavilions of Cuba and Venezuela, respectively.

 

Within the framework of this activity, more than 30 interested entrepreneurs from various countries, as well as governmental institutions, were advised. To this end, on November 2 and 4, 2016, the presentation was made Unitary System of Regional Compensation

Of SUCRE Payments (An option for the entrepreneur), which highlighted the use and benefits of the System.

 

Eulalio González, Specialist Engineer of Commercial Intelligence of the Cuban company Stella Producciones, producer and marketer of chocolate products, explained that the liquor of cocoa, the main raw material of his company, is imported from the Republic of Ecuador, through SUCRE. "This system we have been using since 2015 with great results, both countries are very satisfied because of the advantages that SUCRE has as a payment system in our operations."

 

Gonzalez said that the prospects of his company for 2017, is to maintain the operations that currently run with suppliers from Ecuador. "We are also seriously working on finding suppliers from other SUCRE member countries," he said. The participation of SUCRE in this major trade fair was once again possible thanks to the support of the Director of SUCRE for the Republic of Cuba, Benigno Regüeira and the Deputy Director Katerine Aliño, as well as the spaces granted by the Presidency of the Chamber of Commerce of that country and by the Bank of Foreign Trade of Venezuela (BANCOEX).

 

This visit was also timely to develop a working meeting with the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Cuba; Antonio Carricarte, whose objective was to exchange information and important aspects that could support to strengthen the commercial exchange through the System.
